I'm so glad you stopped by!
If you are looking for some home decor and DIY inspiration, click on Simple Farmhouse in the menu box at the top of the page and browse through projects and budget friendly design approaches. These are just some of the little ways I have found joy in creating our living spaces and our life together. A good portion of our furniture and home decor was done by hand. I hope it brings you inspiration for creativity and ways to enjoy your own home, right now, wherever you are on your own journey.
I have a soul-deep need to create with words as well as hands. So here's a little glimpse into all of it.
But I don't ever want you to think that a house is all there is, or that social media tells the whole story. It doesn't. So if you are looking for some encouragement for your spirit and glimpses into real life here, click on my Journal in the menu box, grab a cup of coffee and hang out with me for a little while. I love sharing about our adoption, our life, and the things I am learning on our journey heavenward, no holds barred.
Here's a little bit about the people who live at The Simple Farmhouse:
My husband is my high school sweetheart. I actually knew that I loved him when I was eleven but we didn't go on our first date until I was 16. We've lived a lot of life in the eighteen years we've been married and he may show up here once and a while for some more personal Q &A.
We have five children and one of our daughters is from India. Her story being interwoven into ours is one of the things I love to share about. Our homeschooling journey is also a big portion of my life. I pray you will always find our story honest and hopeful.
Home isn't a building. It's wherever the people you love gather - both family and friends. And in many ways, we're all just walking each other Home, aren't we? - to our real Home, that is. In the mean time, I hope this is a space where you can find rest on your journey.
